Frequently Asked Questions

When arranging your move with Top Men Removals London, you are bound to have questions you need answering. Here, we’ve listed a few of the most asked. Please also read our Terms & Conditions for further information. If your queries aren’t addressed below, you can contact us by phone on 07312423719/07429174890 or email us at: info@topmenremovals.co.uk.

Q. How do I arrange for a quote

First, we need to visit your property and make a detailed survey of the items to be removed. We then need to know the postcode and address of the area where the delivery will take place. If you’d prefer a response by post, let us know when we’re conducting the survey. We will use your email address to reply if you enquired via email.

Payment for your move is required 7 days before your removal date, using BACS, banker’s draft, building society cheque, debit or credit card. If paying by card, payment will be taken 7 days before your moving date. Your card details will need to be included in the agreement.

The Top Men team will arrive between 08:30 – 09:00 in the morning, subject to London traffic. For storage removals, please confirm team arrival with our office before the moving-out day.

If and how you supervise is your call. Our team leader will introduce themselves, and you can liaise with them about the move, i.e. goods to be removed and goods to stay at the property.

You can ask to see your goods upon giving at least 5 working days’ notice. You can access our storage facility anytime during regular office hours, including Saturdays.

Q. How do I make a booking?

You can ask to see your goods upon giving at least 5 working days’ notice. You can access our storage facility anytime during regular office hours, including Saturdays.

Limited Liability insurance is included as a standard level of protection. As an option, you can choose Goods in Transit insurance. If your goods are put into storage, insurance is not included and is calculated according to the value of your stored goods. We can supply insurance as soon as we have a value-of-goods figure.

Top Men Removals can arrange for council permission to park our vehicles. However, we do pass on to you the council fees plus VAT. Similarly, any parking tickets incurred during the move will be payable by you. You must also ensure access to the collection and delivery addresses are free, and you will be responsible for the cost of parking our vehicles. Naturally, we avoid our clients incurring any extra charges if possible.

Upon confirmation of your agreement documents, we will supply packing boxes and crates, if required, at a small additional charge. We will waive the fee when you return the packaging in good order.

Of course. When you move, we can install any fixtures and fittings in your new property. Our handyman will help to remove any light fittings, including fragile items such as chandeliers. We are also happy to hang any wall art you might have.

Finally, remember to keep to hand any items you might need immediately upon arrival at your new property - for instance, kitchen equipment, including the kettle (!), toiletries etc.
